Our commitment: TLink Defender does not sell your personal data to third parties. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide security protection for your devices.
This Privacy Policy describes how Tenlink LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TLink Defender application and related services ("Services"). This policy applies to our iOS, macOS, and Windows applications.
1. Information We Collect
We follow a "what we collect and why" approach. Here is exactly what TLink Defender collects:
Why: To authenticate you and manage your subscription across devices.
Why: To register your device, enforce device limits per your subscription tier, and deliver platform-specific protection updates.
Why: To activate premium features and manage your subscription status.
Why: To provide web protection and identity monitoring services. URL checks are performed locally against downloaded blocklists — we do not see which websites you visit.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
TLink Defender is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:
- Your browsing history or the websites you visit
- Your DNS queries or search terms
- Contents of your emails, messages, or files
- Your contacts, photos, or personal documents
- Your precise location or GPS data
- Your phone call content or call recordings
- Telemetry data about your system environment (unless you opt in for diagnostics)
3. How We Process Data
Web Protection: Blocklist rules are downloaded to your device and matching is performed locally within the Safari Content Blocker extension. Your browsing data never leaves your device.
Call Protection: Spam number lists are downloaded to your device and loaded into iOS CallKit. Call blocking decisions are made entirely on-device by Apple's CallKit framework. We never see your incoming calls.
Identity Protection: When you submit an email for breach monitoring, we check it against our breach database (sourced from Have I Been Pwned). We store the email addresses you choose to monitor so we can alert you to future breaches.
Ad Blocker: Content blocking rules are processed entirely on-device by Safari. No browsing data is transmitted to our servers.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain. Subscription entitlements are cached locally using App Group shared storage with a 48-hour offline grace period.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time directly within the app (Settings → Subscription → Delete Account). When you delete your account:
- Immediately deleted: Your account credentials, device registrations, breach monitoring subscriptions, and active sessions.
- Deleted within 30 days: Any remaining personal data associated with your account, including email address and subscription records.
- Retained for legal compliance: Anonymized billing transaction records may be retained as required by tax and accounting regulations.
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions before or after deleting your account.
Anonymized, aggregated threat intelligence data (e.g., how many users blocked a particular malicious URL) may be retained indefinitely to improve our protection services.
6. Third-Party Services
TLink Defender uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: For subscription billing and payment processing. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Have I Been Pwned API: For breach monitoring data. We query breach databases on your behalf — your email is transmitted securely to this service.
- URLhaus / OpenPhish: For malicious URL threat intelligence feeds. These are one-way downloads — no user data is sent to these services.
7. Children's Privacy
TLink Defender is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly within the app (Settings → Subscription → Delete Account). You may also contact us at support@tlinksecure.com to request data access, correction, or deletion.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or an in-app notification before the changes take effect. Your continued use of TLink Defender after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
